is halloween over, already?

I meant to post this a few weeks ago, but time has flown by. I am really still in awe that Thanksgiving is next week. Seriously eight days away. Is it just me, or has November flown by?

Last year I created a logo and invitation suite for The Black Widows members. Every year this group of women throw a Halloween costume party benefitting a local charity. I was honored to be a part of this fun design.

My inspiration for this logo and invitation was Tory Burch-esque materials. I love her bold designs in her hand bags, etc.! And I'm really loving her fall boots this year... Unfortunately I'm loving them from a distance... more like admiring them through the store windows :) But loving them either way!

The Black Widows logo can be used in various ways. Recognizable, yet not redundant.

marissa and joseph

Marissa knew exactly what she had in mind when we first chatted about her upcoming nuptials to Joseph. Being the organized bride, she shared her Pinterest board with me and it was an absolute delight to ponder over all the details for her wedding day. She chose a brilliant color palette that sets the mood for a chic event, yet with a touch of fine casualness.

I created a custom monogram logo for her to use on the wedding website and weekend materials. I also included a computer sketch of Sacred Heart Chapel where she and Joseph will be married. Using her chosen color palette and information for the wedding, the Save the Date came to life.

Congratulations on your engagement, Marissa and Joseph! Enjoy this time because it flies by. I cannot wait to see all the photos details of your big day in April!

princesses prancing

Sweet Gracie loves anything princess and especially Disney princesses. Like any little girl, she loves to dress up and dream of far away castles, crowns, jewels and more. Effie, her momma, knew exactly what it would take for Gracie to have the best 4th birthday party she could imagine.

She rented a local dance studio where they provided costumes for Gracie and friends to dress up and play. They also provided an instructor to lead in dancing and playing games. What a cute idea! I bet every little girl loved attending such a fun party. Even Gracie's baby brother, Wright, was able to get in on the action :)

somewhere over the rainbow

Betts had the cutest idea for her youngest child's birthday party which happens to fall right around the same time as Halloween. When she first contacted me about the invitations, she knew she wanted a Wizard of Oz theme for the party, as the whole family would dress up in characters from the movie. Wait until you see the fam photo - ADORABLE!

Betts asked that everyone wear their best Halloween attire and follow the yellow brick road over to her house to celebrate Mary Carmen's 2nd birthday! I'm betting that her party was a blast just from seeing the photos she sent us! What a cute and fun concept for good ol' family fun!

little pumpkin

Annie's 1st birthday party was the sweetest blend of pink, chevron and burlap. Kim worked so hard on the details for her sweet baby girl and the outcome was a success! It was a perfect backyard birthday party for the first, cold weekend of fall.

Kim ordered pink and white Chevron fabric to use as runners for the food and drink tables. The chevron pattern from the invitation inspired her purchase. She then made several tissue paper flowers using white, pink and polka dots. Kim also hand made a precious burlap name banner to add to Annie's adorable cupcake table. Along with the name banner, she used burlap as tags for the drinks that were served out of mini mason jars. Southern touch :)

From the pink Rice Krispie treats, pink animal cookies to the pink polka dot cupcakes, this party had baby girl written all over it.

The kiddos had fun running around, playing in the ball pool, bouncing in the jumpy and most of all, painting their pumpkins!
