last year's 2013 favorites

Here are a few favorites from last year to hold you over a few more days until the launch of the 2014 Christmas Card Collection. I hope this finds you having a wonderful Monday. And please bring on the colder weather... my kids are wearing seersucker bubbles and shorts in October because they can't handle the fall corduroy and long sleeves! I have even held off on the pumpkin patch in hopes of going when it actually feels like fall!

Rice Designs 2014 Christmas Cards will be posted next week on the blog! I will update Facebook, Instagram and also send out an email when they are ready to be viewed. So keep a look out if you are wanting a Rice Designs card this year... I would love to work with you! time off

Happy summer to everyone!

With much consideration, I am no longer taking on any new clients or new work at this time. If you have heard from me before today, or we are currently working on a project, than this message is not intended for you.

I am so blessed to have had the design opportunities offered to me over the past years. I want to thank each and every one of you for considering Rice Designs in your creative design search. It truly has been an honor to work with many wonderful clients. I have learned more than I could have ever imagined when starting this little business. Each opportunity you have provided has been an amazing experience and new challenge in my creative world. I cannot express my gratitude enough. I'm truly bursting with thanks!

I am off to spend some quality time with my sweet baby boys. Life is happening so fast all around me. It's time I learn how to slow down, take a deep breath and soak up every single moment I am offered. Being a mother and a wife are the greatest jobs I have ever been given. And I intend to try my hardest to make these boys proud to call me "Momma".

Working during naps and night time used to be wonderful for me, but the past nine months has proven that time management is not always on my side. Or maybe it's just that I am not good with time management juggling family and work. Either way, the opportunity to take some time off of work is a gift that I am not taking lightly. It has taken a lot of consideration, sleepless nights, tears and second guessing my instincts to make this decision. And I am finally feeling like it's okay to let go for awhile.

I am definitely not done with creative design! I will be back at some point when it feels right for me. And as soon as I figure out when that time comes I will be sure to let everyone know.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support of Rice Designs.
