twinkies

Recently I have known three families to welcome sets of twins into their families. Double the blessing and double the fun - and double the sleepless nights!!! :) Just typing that sentence exhausted me. I don't know how those mommas do it with two, but I have the utmost respect for them because just having one can rock your world :)

My next door neighbor has twin boys who are approaching their tenth birthdays. We met them when they were three. It has been so fun watching them grow up and mature. So much alike, yet so different from one another. And so fun to see how they function as one being as well as two. It's the coolest thing!

Meet Sam and Will. These two brothers are adorable. Absolutely adorable! I have not met them in person, but if I did I would just melt to pieces. Those lips and sweet hands folded :) I am sure these babies will grow up just as our neighbors have. Best little buddies!

mac attack

Oh my goodness, is this baby not the cutest thing you have ever seen? I could cuddle bug sweet baby Maclin all day long. One hour of visiting this little guy was not enough for me. Talk about baby fever :) he will do it to you. I need a Mac attack... and fast!

Maclin's mom, Sarah, knew exactly what she wanted before he ever arrived (she is my most organized friend... if there was a word that trumped 'organized' than that would be it - I would pay money to have a snapshot of her face when I pulled out my wallet overflowing with receipts and junk the other night... she looked like she could have a heart attack as I tried to shove all the contents back into the wallet that is not even close to clasping shut - haha. I wish she could teach me a thing, or two, or three about getting organized because I need it)! Okay, back to the order of business. She met me with her ideas and we had these materials designed and waiting for his entry into this world way before he was due :) Did I say she was organized :) ?

I LOVE the simplicity of the baby blue stripes paired with the gorgeous black and white photograph. Isn't he beautiful? And I especially LOVE that she opted for printing baby blue stripes on the back of the announcements too. Details!

Sarah also wanted to have the Baptism Ceremony and Reception before she had to return to work, so we designed the Baptism invitation to coordinate with the announcement so she could send them together in the mail. I am really pleased with the printed materials and the combination of the two pieces. They stand alone as well as work together nicely.

Thanks Sarah for allowing Rice Designs to create a custom look for your precious baby :)

Also, the beautiful photography was done by Janie Long Photography. You should definitely check out her work, as it is amazing! You can find her on Facebook.

peanuts and cracker jack's

Jay Nicklos loves baseball! So what better way to celebrate his 4th birthday than a baseball party. Jay Nick's mom, Alex, had table runners made with his monogram and wanted to match the invitation to pull the party theme together. And who doesn't love bright red and navy?!?!? What a cute idea and something she can use from year to year!

The kiddos had a blast playing at the park, eating pizza and munching on baseball cupcakes. Alex not only hit a home run with this party, but she hit it out of the park!

beep beep vroom vroom

Beep Beep Vroom Vroom, William is two!
Let's swing, slide and play to celebrate his birthday!

William loves cars, trucks, trains and tractors and just about anything that goes beep beep or vroom vroom! What little boy doesn't? His sweet mom hosted a fun party at the local park with cozy coupes galore and transportation toys to keep the little tykes busy. She even had a toddler roller coaster!

Mary Lafitte chose a palette of primary colors mixed with baby blue for the party decor. She added special touches with bright-colored, dump truck balloons, cupcake toppers, kelly green table runners and a Happy Birthday William banner :) Mary Lafitte saved William's banner from the his 1st birthday party and we just added the number 2 and the blue trucks to carry the theme into this year. Such a great idea!

The kiddos snacked on delicious cupcakes and also yummy apple and grape cars. William and friends had a blast celebrating his 2nd birthday!

the wild side

Sweet Shannon hosted the cutest birthday party for her son, Hutton! She chose a jungle theme pool party to cool off on the hot September day. And boy, oh boy, did everyone have a great time. Not only did the kiddos eat cupcakes... but they swam in the pool and thoroughly enjoyed the water slide!

She chose a color palette of baby blue and animal prints to go along with the jungle theme. She used burlap and animal print fabrics for decoration and even stuck to jungle themed food. What a great party she put together for sweet Hutton on his first birthday!

I was so honored to design the invitation, birthday banner, cupcake toppers, water bottle labels and food tent cards. It's always so fun to see what my customers do with my designs at the party. To say I was impressed doesn't even begin to cover how awesome of a job Shannon did!
